Small Valve Gate Delivers High Quality Performance Design and Reduces Costs Solutions Based Company Finds Answer To Escalating Steel Prices

In a challenging marketplace with escalating steel prices, Plastic Engineering & Technical Services is sustaining product costs with the introduction of its new Small Valve Gate Cylinder. The innovative design uses 35 % less steel than the standard valve gate. The Small Valve Gate has a smaller cylinder that maintains a .688 stroke, the same length as the standard Valve Gate Cylinder, allowing for a closer pitch. Therefore, the spacer plate requires 2 inches less thickness than the standard valve gate spacer plate.

The Small Valve Gate will allow our customers to maintain a competitive edge.”

The hydraulic-operated Small Valve Gate Cylinder is the newest addition in the Plastic Engineering & Technical Services product line. An industry first design has increased shut off pressure that provides improved repeatability for optimal processing parameters.
