Twenty Years of Commitment to the Customer and Investment in Innovation Lead to Success
This year Plastic Engineering & Technical Services celebrates its 20th Anniversary. Since 1984, the plastic engineering company has grown from a modest business to a multi-million dollar operation in three continents including; Europe, Asia and North America. Today, the company is a global leader in the plastics industry, providing hot runner systems, valve gate sequencers, temperature control systems and an array of leading-edge products and services to its mold making and injection molding customers around the world.
Since the early days, we have been committed to delivering quality hot runner systems, products and services to our customers at a value, said Patrick Tooman, Founder and President, Plastic Engineering & Technical Services. As plastics materials and design enhancements evolve, our engineering team continually evaluates innovative ways to manufacture systems that our customers can produce for the end consumer.
The company has invested in the latest machine tool equipment, process delivery advancements and innovative ways to improve cost-efficiency and operations. From the latest wood grain synthetic instrument clusters to the improved durability of a side door panel, Plastic Engineering & Technical Services is committed to understanding the best methods to manufacture hot runner systems that meet the ever-changing design and material advancements in plastics engineering.
The end consumer expects durability, quality, the latest trends and value, said Tooman. Our mold making and injection molding customers need to respond quickly to the demands of the OEMs engineering design teams that manufacture the consumer goods. We are meeting the needs of our customers around-the-clock to deliver the best in class hot runner systems.
Each year, the plastics industry improves the materials and its capabilities used to make consumer goods. Materials have changed to reduce or eliminate fading, provide flexibility, enhance safety parameters and much more. With these material changes and improvements of the base colorants, that range from organic to inorganic compounds, the hot runner system design requires transformation. For example, the base colorants with UV protectors do not have the same lubricity base as the organic base materials. As a solution, Plastic Engineering & Technical Services reduces the amount of material needed to make a color change through the use of advanced coatings, enhanced diamond polishing and redesign of the internal components.
What does the future hold for Plastic Engineering & Technical Services? The company plans to continue its globally expansion to service its customers worldwide. The team of engineers and manufacturing personnel will continue to deliver quality products, services and innovative solutions to its customers at a value.
